mint still

I started this painting on a winsor and newton 11x14 canvas, it just sucked up the acrylic paint and I stopped and put a couple of layers of gesso on, then was able to paint, panels always need  a couple coats of  gesso, we did this in my class and it's of the local deserted mint still in St. Johns.

I just saw an article in the paper about your upcoming art lessons and thought, where is this place? So I googled you. Great site! I'm an ameture artist, love to paint with water color and draw. The 'mint still' is something I have always wanted to paint, every time I go by it I think, I need to take a picture and paint this someday. I love your painting.

Thanks Allyson, yes I'm starting painting classes this Saturday if I get some interest, although I may not start till the first week in April to give people some more time to get supplies. Thanks
